Sunday night’s Super Bowl win for the Patriots was an emotional one — especially for Tom Brady and his family.
Throughout the week leading up to the game, Brady discussed how meaningful it was to have his family at this game. It was revealed on Tuesday that his mother, Galynn, had been dealing with an unspecified medical condition, according to CSNNE.
“I spoke to him in the locker room before the game and I said, ‘We’ve got to win this for your mom,’ because I know how important his mom is. She’s been going through chemotherapy and radiation. She came here and I just saw her, and it was really cool,” Patriots owner Robert Kraft said.
Galynn attended the game, along with Brady’s other family members. It was the first game she attended this season, and she was able to see a remarkable victory.
“I’m overwhelmed,” Galynn told WBZ after the game. “I was just praying. All I did was pray the whole game.”
