Evgenia Medvedeva Listens to K-Pop Band EXO to Pump Her Up Before Skating

Russian figure skater Evgenia Medvedeva may have skated to a Chopin piece in the ladies single figure skating short program on Sunday (Feb. 11), but she prefers K-Pop group EXO to get her pumped up before hitting the ice.

According to The Washington Post, Medvedeva listens to the South Korean group to gain confidence. “It’s unreal inspiration and it really improved my mood,” the skater said. EXO’s popularity has increased over the past year after the release of their 2017 album “The War” which has been gaining traction around the world.

The 19-year-old skater also loves the mega-popular K-pop group BTS, and has various videos of herself dancing to the K-Pop group’s hits, like “Fire,” which you can watch below.
