Just a few days after Desiigner shared the news that his BTS and Steve Aoki collab “Mic Drop” was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America, the RIAA updated its site to reveal that yet another song by the Korean group earned the same distinction.
On Monday (Feb. 12), RIAA updated their sites to reflect the batch of 104 songs and 17 albums that were certified gold or platinum in January. BTS’ “Mic Drop” earned the distinction on Feb. 6 with half a million certified units, while “DNA” was certified on Feb. 9 with the same amount. Both songs were released in September on the band’s Love Yourself: Her EP. “Mic Drop” was released in a remixed format in November, an update that was produced by Aoki and featured Desiigner.
