Former Destiny’s Child singer Michelle Williams will share her chaste journey to the altar with minister Chad Johnson in a new reality show, which premieres November 3 on OWN.
The 38-year-old Grammy winner and her 41-year-old fiancé will also produce Chad Loves Michelle documenting their move into a LA home where they’ll maintain separate bedrooms.
‘Guided by their faith and unwavering values, the couple has vowed to consummate the relationship only after they are wed,’ the OWN statement detailed Thursday.
‘The newly engaged couple is turning to intensive premarital counseling to help prepare them for life together as husband and wife.’
The pre-marital counseling is especially important for Michelle (born Tenitra), who checked herself into a mental health facility outside LA in early July – according to TMZ.
Johnson and Williams, who bonded over their shared Christian faith, got engaged on March 21 after meeting a year earlier during one of his Arizona spiritual retreats.
The “Say Yes” songstress and the Elevate International founder will share ‘our life, love and everything else’ during the 10th Annual Merge Summit happening October 11-13 at LA’s Universal Hilton.
Michelle – who hasn’t released music since her fourth studio album Journey to Freedom in 2014 – returned to the recording studio with Chad on September 12 to seemingly record the theme song for their show.
Meanwhile, Johnson – who graduated from Arizona Christian University – previously served as a chaplain for the Arizona Cardinals, Pittsburgh Steelers, and Los Angeles Dodgers.
