This dog owner was left feeling a little sore after her attempt at the ‘What the Fluff’ challenge backfired.

In the footage Ashlynn Mckenzi Dacus, from Jonesboro, Arkansas, is seen holding a striped blanket in front of her unsuspecting dog Maggie.

However all does not go quite to plan when she fails to run through the door to her right and launches herself straight into the hard wall.

However all does not go quite to plan when she misses her exit to her right and launches herself straight into the hard wall

In the video the dog owner is seen teasing her pet by repeatedly dropping the blanket a few inches to reveal her face and then bringing it back up again.

Oblivious as to what is about to take place the animal is seen waiting patiently in front of the blanket before the young woman misses her exit and slams into the wall with quite some force.

The startled dog runs away leaving the camera to pan to the floor and the woman is heard laughing.

It has since received 16 million views and around 65,000 comments from viewers sharing their delight at the funny video.

The viral trend which started in June this year involves pet owners confusing their animals by holding up a blanket to hide and then dropping it and running away, leaving the pets to stare into the vacant area their owner once stood.
