Former first lady Michelle Obama’s book sold more than 725,000 copies in its first day on sale, marking the biggest single-day sales of this year for her publisher.
The sales total of Obama’s memoir, “Becoming,” which was released Tuesday, includes all formats and editions, including as an audio book and Spanish-language version, according to Penguin Random House.
The sales number puts the former first lady’s book on par with “Fear: Trump in the White House,” by veteran journalist Bob Woodward. The reporter’s book sold 750,000 copies in one day when it hit shelves in September.
