Couples whose partnership is in difficulties could soon be baring their souls to an AI chatbot instead of a human counsellor, according to the head of Britain’s biggest relationship charity.
“We have to start to look at what can be done with a non-human interaction,” Aidan Jones, chief executive of Relate, said. “[AI] can learn as it interacts with different clients and ‘present the environment’, which has value in the same way as with a real counsellor.”
