Operation H.O.P.E. El Paso announced it would offer free funeral services in partnership with several funeral homes to the families affected by an El Paso shooting at a Walmart near Cielo Vista. Several of the funeral homes are asking surviving family members to call them to make arrangements.
Evergreen East Funeral Home
Antoinette Candelaria, Funeral Director at Evergreen East Funeral Home said many of the homes have reached out to partner with each other.
“As Directors, we will need to come together and support anyone who will need our assistance,” Candelaria said in an email. “I’m sure at this point every funeral home in El Paso will be willing to help those in need from the tragedy that has occurred free of charge.”
Mt. Carmel Funeral Home
“We want to do our part in the community,” funeral home owner Jaime Martinez said. “We need to bond and stay together and be together. Anything we can do, it’s the least we can do to get those families to move forward.”
Sunset Funeral Homes
“We stand with our community and ready to help,” stated a post by Sunset Funeral Homes on Facebook.
