Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo announced Monday on Twitter that he officially became a father after the birth of his son, Liam Charles Antetokounmpo.
The baby’s middle name, Charles, is the same name of Giannis’ father, who died in 2017.
Giannis has been ruled out for Monday night’s game against the Sacramento Kings at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, in what the team described as “personal reasons.”
We’ve known since October that Giannis and girlfriend Mariah Riddlesprigger were on the cusp of becoming first-time parents, and the reigning NBA MVP dropped some hints that the newest member of the Bucks family was close to arrival.
