SAT-7 Provides Hope for Afghan Women

Between extremist violence, economic collapse, and natural disasters, Afghanistan suffers one of the worst humanitarian crises in the world.

But it’s even worse for women in the country. New regulations from the Taliban try to erase women from public Afghan life. The militant group forces women to cover their faces, and also broke a promise to get girls in school by March. They have set no new timeline.

An Afghan pastor recently spoke on the SAT-7 show Secret of Life. “Truly the people of Afghanistan are being held in a cage; men, women, and children, all of whom have been deprived of the freedom to think and live freely in different ways.”

Joe Willey with SAT-7 USA says, “Secret of Life and Window of Light are two programs, which air in the dialect of Dari. That is like Farsi, but it is spoken by Afghans. And those programs provide biblical encouragement to Dari speakers”
